The Role:

The Senior Project Manager is a key member of our Growth and Infrastructure Coordination Unit (GICU), and in this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery and coordination of critical infrastructure and development projects that support the Department’s Objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, strong experience in stakeholder management and coordination and a strong understanding of development and development practices. You will hold the following responsibilities:

- Lead end to end project management and project delivery for long-term strategic infrastructure and objectives relating to development projects.




- Develop and execute delivery plans that align with the department's housing goals and future growth.
- Lead and oversee the coordinated delivery of infrastructure projects related to housing development.
- Collaborate with state agencies and essential service providers regarding coordination of trunk infrastructure, optimising resource allocation and cost control.
- Identify and assess risks associated with infrastructure projects and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

- Proven experience in project and/or development management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong understanding of housing infrastructure development processes, including land use planning and land division assessment processes.
- Demonstrated high level experience and expertise in reviewing, assessing, and reporting on technical documents and engineering design drawings in relation to major projects.
- Significant experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, preparing project briefs, co-ordinating consultant fee proposals and project management of the design and delivery of land divisions.




- Demonstrate high level experience and expertise in leading and successfully delivering complex and/or sensitive community and stakeholder engagement processes for diverse audiences within a range of strategic planning projects.

Desirable Qualification:

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, project management or a related discipline, with substantial experience in project and/or development management.

Special Conditions

Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

PO5 – $136,746 min – $149,562 max plus superannuation.
