About the role

Uralla Pastoral Nathalia Pty Ltd is seeking a Farm Hand to join our team on a casual basis. This role is based in Nathalia, VIC 3638 and offers an excellent opportunity to work in the farming and agricultural sector. As a Farm Hand, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our pastoral enterprise, contributing to the efficient management of livestock, Broadacre crops, lucerne hay production, maintenance of facilities and equipment, as well as general farm operations. Your work will be essential to ensuring the smooth running of our agricultural business and maintaining the health and welfare of our animals.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting with the care, feeding, and management of livestock across the farm

- Performing general farm maintenance tasks, including fencing repairs, facility upkeep, and equipment maintenance

- Helping with mustering, drafting, and handling of animals in a safe and humane manner

- Cleaning and maintaining farm buildings, yards, and other infrastructure

- Supporting seasonal activities such as shearing, drenching, vaccinations, and other livestock procedures

- Assisting with the movement and transportation of feed, water, and other farm supplies

- Maintaining awareness of animal health and welfare, reporting any concerns to management

- Operating and maintaining basic farm machinery and equipment as required

- Operating specialized machinery

- Following all health and safety protocols and farm procedures at all times

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural environment is highly desirable





- A strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Physical fitness and capability to undertake manual labour tasks regularly

- Knowledge of or willingness to learn safe handling practices for livestock

- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly according to farm requirements

- Good communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors

- A genuine interest in animal welfare and pastoral farming practices

- A valid driver's licence

- Any relevant qualifications or certifications in animal husbandry or farm management are advantageous
