About the role This is a part-time position (22.5 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. Based in Queanbeyan. Th Co-Occurring Needs Clinician, AOD will provide integrated, recovery-oriented care to individuals experiencing both substance use and mental health concerns. Duties
- Deliver coordinated, trauma-informed and person-centred support to clients and their families.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery.
- Facilitate access to appropriate mental health, AOD, and community-based support services.
- Promote positive client outcomes and continuity of care through effective care coordination.
Skills & Experience
1. Qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or another relevant discipline, with current professional registration or accreditation (e.g. AHPRA, OTA, AASW, APS, PACFA, or ACA).
2.
Experience in health and community services working with people with complex, co-occurring needs.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based AOD and mental health interventions, including harm minimisation principles, recovery-oriented practice, and integrated care models.
4. Demonstrated ability to work with clients using a trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred approach, including people experiencing distress.
