About the Role
Are you looking to build a successful career in Accounts within a structured corporate setting?
Based at our Hope Valley office, this is an excellent opportunity to join the Australian subsidiary of a publicly listed multinational organisation. As part of our fast-paced and supportive Accounts team, you will gain hands-on experience across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while working with SAP ECC, structured processes, and robust internal controls commonly found in larger organisations.
You will be responsible for processing a high volume of transactions, including supplier invoices, customer payments, and other routine Accounts activities. Working within established procedures and tight deadlines, you will develop a strong foundation in Accounts operations while gaining exposure to a broad extended range of Accounts processes, including three-way matching, foreign currency transactions, and import/export-related activities.
This role is ideal for someone who has:
- recently commenced their Accounts career, or is looking to take their first step into the profession,
and holds (or is currently completing) a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or an equivalent qualification; or
- experience in a small-to-medium-sized business and is looking to broaden their skills and gain exposure to a more structured corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Match supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts
- Process employee reimbursements and corporate credit card expense claims
- Ensure transactions are completed in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements
- Monitor and manage the Accounts Payable inbox
- Reconcile supplier and intercompany account statements
- Respond to supplier enquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships
- Assist with month-end closing activities
Accounts Receivable
- Process incoming payments and allocate receipts accurately
- Maintain customer accounts, manage outstanding debtors, and manage advance payment balances
- Support credit control activities by identifying and communicating incoming payments relating to overdue accounts, cash customers, and credit limit exceptions
- Assist with debt collection and follow-up activities
Other Accounts & Administrative Duties
- Maintain customer and supplier master data records
- Perform data entry and record management tasks
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider Accounts team and Accountants
- Assist with general office administration duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- TAFE qualification in Accounts, Bookkeeping, or a related field, and/or basic Accounts experience
- A genuine commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality transaction processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
- Availability to work in office in Hope Valley, Monday to Friday
