The key duties of the position include:

- Ensure the proper application, education and implementation of current and emerging procurement policies,



including requirements under the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and Rules, Procurement Policy Notes, Procurement Connected Polices and Whole of Australian Government arrangements.
- Manage the development and continuous improvement of ACCC’s procurement framework, processes and templates in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Identify, develop, and deliver training on procurement, contract management and probity matters to ACCC employees.
- Manage and contribute to mandatory reporting obligations by preparing internal Board papers, the Agency’s Annual Procurement Plan, Senate Estimates briefs and reporting spend against the Indigenous Procurement Policy targets, amongst other obligations.
- Provide expert advice and assurance on procurement and contract management processes including advising on the development and compliance review of procurement plans, minutes, request for tender documentation, contracts and contract management plans.

Eligibility

In order to succeed in the role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience supporting a corporate/ central procurement team in a fast-paced, complex people-centred organisation.
- Demonstrated experience and a strong working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Procurement Policy Notes,



Connected Polices and current and emerging Whole of Australian Government requirements.
- Responsibility for leading strategic procurement planning, communicating key policy decisions and effectively managing change within the team and broader agency.
- Experience developing and delivering education and training to assist whole-of-agency capability and compliance uplift while building and sustaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience completing mandatory governance and compliance reporting obligations such as Senate Orders, Annual Reports and Annual Procurement Plans.
- Demonstrated experience thinking strategically to initiate and develop frameworks and strategies by identifying broader factors, trends and influences to inform more efficient and streamlined procurement processes.
- Demonstrated experience providing timely practical, risk-based advice on complex, high-value procurement processes, with the ability to review the associated procurement documentation to ensure compliance with relevant policies and frameworks.
