Technical Sales Specialist – Marine Propulsion

This is not a traditional sales role. It is an opportunity for someone who combines a passion for boating, engineering, and customer engagement with a strong technical mindset and the drive to deliver world-class propulsion solutions.

You will work with some of the most respected operators and professionals in the marine industry — including our established international sales network, superyacht captains and engineers, commercial vessel operators, naval architects, shipyards, marine engineers, boat builders, and owners of high-performance recreational vessels.

At VEEM, you will represent globally recognised products including high-performance propellers, controllable pitch propeller systems, shaftline solutions, and advanced marine propulsion technologies used across recreational, commercial, and defence marine sectors.

The Opportunity

No two days are the same. In this role, you may be:

- Assisting in optimising vessel propulsion performance and efficiency.

- Supporting a commercial vessel operator with propeller selection and vibration reduction solutions.

- Working with naval architects and shipyards to specify propulsion packages for new builds and refits.

- Providing technical guidance on VEEM propellers, shaftlines, CPP systems, and associated propulsion components.

- Interpreting vessel performance data and customer requirements to develop tailored propulsion recommendations.

- Coordinating with VEEM’s engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver customised technical solutions.

The Role – Technical Sales & Propulsion Solutions

This role combines technical sales, customer engagement, and marine engineering problem-solving.



You will act as the key interface between customer requirements and VEEM’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

Your ability to understand technical requirements, communicate effectively with industry professionals, and develop practical propulsion solutions will be critical to your success.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Sales & Customer Support
Engage with customers across recreational, commercial, and defence marine sectors to provide technically sound propulsion solutions.

- Propulsion System Specification
Assist in the selection and specification of propellers, shaftline systems, CPP solutions, and associated propulsion equipment.

- Performance Analysis & Problem Solving
Interpret vessel operating conditions, performance data, and customer feedback to recommend optimal propulsion outcomes.

- Project Coordination
Manage customer enquiries and projects from initial consultation through quotation, order processing, manufacturing coordination, and delivery.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with VEEM’s engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into production outcomes.

- CRM & Enterprise Systems
Utilise enterprise software systems to manage quotations, customer interactions, project tracking, and sales activities.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an individual who is technically minded, commercially aware, and passionate about the marine industry.

Essential Attributes





- Robust technical aptitude with the ability to understand marine propulsion systems and vessel operations.

- Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with vessel owners, engineers, captains, and marine professionals.

- High level of computer literacy and ability to navigate technical software platforms and ERP/CRM systems.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and technical data.

- Self-motivated with strong initiative and problem-solving capability.

- Professional presentation and customer-focused approach.

Highly Regarded Experience

- Experience in marine propulsion, marine engineering, shipbuilding, or technical marine sales.

- Knowledge of propellers, shafting systems, stabilisation systems, or vessel performance optimisation.

- Exposure to commercial marine, defence marine, or superyacht sectors.

- Trade, technical, engineering, or marine qualifications.
