JD Painting Co. values reliability, craftsmanship, and a positive, safety-conscious work environment.Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Painter role based in Kyneton, VIC, with some work-from-home tasks such as planning, quoting, and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paints and coatings, and performing detailed interior and exterior painting and decorating work. The Painter will handle brush, roller, and spray painting, ensure clean lines and even coverage, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas. The role also involves following safety procedures, communicating with clients and team members,



and supporting project timelines and quality standards.Qualifications Ability to work confidently with paint products, including correct mixing, color matching, and application techniques.Solid skills in painting and decorating, including surface preparation, cutting in, and finishing work to a high standard.Knowledge of coatings and their appropriate use for different surfaces and environments.Experience in general painting using brushes and rollers, across interior and exterior projects.Competence in spray painting, including equipment setup, operation, and cleaning.Previous experience as a professional painter or relevant trade qualification (apprenticeship or certificate) is highly beneficial.Understanding of workplace safety, including PPE use, ladder and scaffold safety, and safe handling of materials.Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in and around Kyneton, VIC.
