About Us
We are an exciting new African fine dining restaurant in Canberra, bringing authentic African cuisine, culture, and hospitality to our community. We are looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook authentic African dishes to a high standard.
- Assist with menu preparation and daily food production.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and in accordance with food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation.

Essential Requirements

- Previous experience as a cook or chef (African cuisine experience preferred).
- Knowledge of African cooking techniques, spices, and traditional dishes.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.




- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work under pressure.

Desirable

- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Experience with dishes such as jollof rice, fufu, egusi, pepper soup, suya, grilled fish, goat dishes, and other authentic African cuisine.
