Our ideal candidates
We’re looking for high-performing people with skills and experience in the above areas of policy and program management relevant to the department’s operations. You will be highly organised and able to work with broad direction.
Our Ideal APS 6 Candidates Will
be capable of demonstrating expertise and technical knowledge in an area of focus relevant to the department as outlined under ‘The Opportunities’ above and have a thorough understanding of global affairsfeel confident making decisions using good judgement and expertise,
governed by the application of policies and best-practice principlesbe capable of developing and managing complex relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goalsbe a confident communicator with solid written and verbal communication skills.demonstrate a sound ability to research, interpret and draft documents and provide advice and briefings that cover complex subject matterbe comfortable contributing to business improvement strategies and change in the workplace, and in proposing new ideas and initiativesbe capable of prioritising and managing tasks, working autonomously, and escalating issues that may have an impact on the work areademonstrate the ability to contribute positively to a workplace culture that values diversity and inclusivityhave a strong understanding of the role and responsibilities of the department and global affairs, help to influence and develop strategy, policies, priorities and operational practices in areas outlined under ‘The Opportunities’ above to supportthe department’s objectives.
