Position: Vehicle Spray Painter Company: Wulguru Group (Wulguru Steel) Location: 352 Stuart Dr, Wulguru QLD 4811 Type: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $79,499.00 – $89,499.00 per annum + Superannuation Recruitment managed by: Yakr Pty Ltd Wulguru Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join their team in their Townsville workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and applying primer as required.
- Mix and match paints to achieve precise color accuracy, adhering to client or manufacturer specifications.
- Apply paint using various techniques, including spray guns, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the aesthetic and quality of vehicle surfaces.
- Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring a skilled and long-lasting finish.
- Utilise specialised tools and equipment, maintaining them in excellent working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures,
including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed for future reference.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
- Proven experience in automotive painting, including surface preparation and spray painting.
- Strong understanding of paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.
