ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Hydraulic (Plumbing and Fire) Engineering Designer with industry experience to join our senior design team.

The day to day responsibilities and tasks for this role are:

- Design of hydraulic services (water, sewer, wet fire, gas, and stormwater) for projects ranging from minor residential to major commercial and industrial developments.

- Review and Quality assurance checks of yours and others project work.

- Collaborate with other designers and draftspersons within the office environment.

- Communicate with other engineering disciplines including architects, civil/structural engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, as well as project and construction managers.

- Attend meetings with clients, project stakeholders, and other engineering consultants.

- Attend construction sites for both pre-design inspections and ongoing construction review and assessment.

If you are successul in your application for this role you can expect the following:

Your career path will include training from the senior engineers and directors on our SOPs and will lead you to becoming a Hydraulic Engineer that is integrated within our team.



This entails being responsible for gaining an understanding of your own projects, designing the project solutions and working with our drafting team to translate that to CAD formats.

As you gain a more thorough understanding of our practices and procedures, we will encourage you to lead your own projects, speak with clients, coordinate with other engineers, attend meetings and review installations of hydraulic services during the construction period.

ABOUT YOU

- You will require a good understanding of AutoCAD and preferably Revit.

- You will need to be enthusiastic to embrace a position in an engineering field that is not congested with an abundance of other qualified candidates.

- You should have the foresight to understand that entry into a niche engineering field is a rewarding challenge and has long term career potential.

- You are interested in construction engineering and possibly have an engineering degree or a drafting certificate or a wealth of experience.

- You understand time management and have no issues meeting deadlines when required.
