The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee the afternoon shift, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high‑quality standard.
- Leading and coaching Production Operators and Leading Hands
- Coordinating daily production activities to meet customer demand
- Monitoring safety, quality and production performance throughout the shift
- Conducting daily toolbox meetings and shift handovers
- Working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality teams to minimise downtime and resolve production issues
- Managing attendance, performance and employee development
- Ensuring production reporting, ERP transactions and shift documentation are completed accurately
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor
About You
We're looking for an experienced Production Manager or Supervisor who enjoys leading and creating and maintaining a high‑performing team.
- Previous experience leading production teams within a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of WHS, quality systems and continuous improvement principles
- Experience coordinating labour, equipment and production schedules
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and production reporting
- A proactive approach with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
- Confidence managing performance, coaching employees and driving accountability
