Family Partnerships Coordinator

Part Time | Flexible across Meerilinga Early Learning Services

Meerilinga is an iconic Western Australian not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that has championed positive childhoods and child advocacy since 1911. We operate multiple Early Learning Centers around Perth, provide specialized educator training through our Registered Training Organisation, and deliver parenting and community programs that strengthen children, families and communities.

As Meerilinga continues to grow and strengthen its Early Learning Services, we are excited to introduce a new position that reflects our commitment to building strong partnerships with families and ensuring every child has the best possible start in life.

Working across our Early Learning Services, the Family Partnerships Coordinator will be the link between children, families, educators and community services. This role supports families to access early learning, assists educators to build confident and respectful partnerships with families, and works collaboratively with community organisations to improve participation, inclusion and child wellbeing.

The Role

The Family Partnerships Coordinator works alongside children, families, educators and community partners to strengthen children's participation in early learning.

The role focuses on building positive relationships with families, reducing barriers to accessing early childhood education and care, supporting enrolments and transitions, connecting families with community services and promoting inclusive participation.

Working collaboratively across Meerilinga's Early Learning Services, Parenting Services and community partners, the Family Partnerships Coordinator helps ensure children and families feel welcomed, connected and supported throughout their early learning journey.

About You

- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher),



such as a CHC50121 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved equivalent, with significant experience working with children and families

- Experience working with children and families within early childhood, community services or family support.

- Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with families from diverse backgrounds

- Experience supporting vulnerable children and families using a strengths-based approach

- Understanding of the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.

- Experience liaising with government departments and agencies, such as child protection and child development services.

- Current driver's licence with reliable transport, and ability to work across multiple locations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated experience working with a range of family issues within early childhood and community sectors.
