McNally delivers turnkey design, manufacturing and construction solutions for mining villages and non-process infrastructure across Western Australia.

We are looking for a casual Quality Assurance Officer – Modular to support our manufacturing team and help ensure our modular buildings are completed to the required standards, specifications and project requirements.

This role will suit someone who is practical, process-driven and confident working closely with supervisors, trades, subcontractors and project teams. You will play an important role in identifying defects early, supporting rectification, maintaining quality records and helping our teams get things right before buildings leave the yard.

The role

Reporting to the Construction Manager – Manufacturing, you will support quality assurance across McNally’s modular building process.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Interpreting and reviewing project drawings, specifications and quality requirements

- Preparing, implementing and documenting Inspection Test Plans

- Monitoring manufacturing quality and compliance with design and specification requirements

- Carrying out punch listing of modular buildings

- Identifying, recording and following up defects through to rectification

- Working with supervisors, trades and subcontractors to ensure required standards are understood and met

- Supporting quality inspections and maintaining accurate QA records

- Assisting with continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures

- Working collaboratively with project, manufacturing, design, procurement and logistics teams

- Promoting McNally’s standards, values and commitment to doing things properly

About you

You understand that quality is not just paperwork; it is about preventing defects, maintaining standards and supporting the team to deliver a finished product everyone can be proud of.

You will bring:

- Experience in quality assurance, quality control, modular construction, building, manufacturing or a similar environment

- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation

- Experience preparing or working with ITPs, checklists, punch lists, QA documentation or defect registers

- Strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach

- Clear written and verbal communication skills

- Confidence working with trades, supervisors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

- A practical, common-sense approach to problem solving

- Robust organisation and time management skills

- Competency using MS Outlook, Word and Excel

- Experience with QA systems or applications will be highly regarded

- A genuine commitment to safety, quality, teamwork and continuous improvement
