About the role

The successful applicant will support the operational management of the Medical Imaging clinical services across a multidisciplinary team under the direction the Chief Radiographer and Managing Radiologist. It would be desirable for applicants to have experience in the delivery of advanced level medical imaging in multiple modalities and be able to demonstrate clinical leadership.

This is a 12 Month Fixed-Term opportunity, with the possibility of extension.

Leadership and Operational Management

- Support the operational management of Medical Imaging clinical services across a multidisciplinary team under the direction of the Managing Radiologist and Chief Radiographer in accordance with Queensland X-ray operational requirements.
- Provide supporting managerial leadership of the multi-disciplinary Medical Imaging team delivering services in accordance with the relevant prescribed professional and ethical standards and the established practice and company-wide clinical protocols and policies.
- Where required, be able to perform higher duties during periods of absence of the Chief Radiographer.
- Represent Queensland X-ray at a facility level on matters relating to service provision and delivery where appropriate.
- Lead the development of service improvement initiatives across a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the provision of high quality Medical Imaging services.
- Provide direction to the operations team for the purpose of workforce planning and capability strategies to achieve enhancement and efficiency in service delivery where required.
- Provide supporting managerial leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of programs and policies (including education and/or research) within the facility to support the continuum of care.
- Provide supporting managerial leadership under the direction of the operations team for the administration,



direction and control of resource management and financial management of the facility.
- Apply well-developed clinical knowledge and skills to the management of Medical Imaging services ensuring alignment with Queensland X-ray operational requirements.
- Foster and promote a culture of service excellence through continuing demonstration of a high level of responsibility, accountability and initiative across all aspects of clinical practice.

Clinical Practice

- Deliver advanced level medical imaging clinical services across a multi-modality, multidisciplinary team in accordance with:
- prescribed professional and ethical standards
- the established practice and company-wide clinical protocols and policies
- the rostering and service delivery requirements of the practice

- Demonstrate and promote by example, a high level of patient care, compassion and clinical awareness.
- Apply advanced qualified, clinical judgement to complex caseloads, adapting routine clinical practice using valid and reliable evidence based practice.
- Maintain an advanced level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in multiple modalities obtained through professional development, postgraduate education or formal qualifications.
- Apply expertise to solve large-scale and/or complex clinical service or work-flow problems.

Communication / Team Participation

- Provide advanced level clinical advice and direction based on a well-developed clinical background to Medical Imaging practitioners.
- Provide supporting authoritative counsel on matters relating to service provisions.




- Collaborate with practice leaders across Queensland X-ray to ensure effective service delivery and enhance quality outcomes.

About you

You will demonstrate:

- Tertiary qualifications in Medical Imaging
- Full AHPRA Registration with no imposed conditions or limitations
- Full QLD Radiation Use Licence
- A passion for delivering an exceptional patient care/customer service experience
- The ability to deliver quality work and remain calm under pressure
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to collaborate with other members of staff and work as part of a team
- Accuracy and sharp attention to detail
- Professional personal presentation
