QC Laboratory Analyst – GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

We manufacture a range of pharmaceutical, healthcare, and related products for Australian customers and are entering an important stage of growth, with a focus on strengthening our quality systems, manufacturing capability, and operational support.

We are seeking an experienced QC Laboratory Analyst to join our quality team and support our growing GMP manufacturing operations.

The Opportunity

This role is suited to an experienced laboratory professional with previous QC testing experience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, therapeutic goods, complementary medicines, healthcare, cosmetic, chemical, or regulated laboratory environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in raw material testing, finished product testing, in-process testing, stability testing, documentation, laboratory investigations, and supporting product release requirements.

This is a hands-on laboratory role requiring strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, and the ability to work accurately in a regulated environment.

We are looking for someone who can contribute quickly, work independently where required, and support the QC function during a busy period of growth.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

- Performing QC testing on raw materials, bulk products, finished products, and stability samples.

- Conducting routine laboratory analysis in accordance with approved methods and specifications.

- Supporting in-process testing and manufacturing support activities.

- Preparing and standardizing reagents and laboratory solutions.

- Recording results accurately and in accordance with GMP documentation requirements.

- Reviewing test results and escalating out-of-specification or unusual results.

- Supporting OOS, OOT, deviation, and laboratory investigation processes.





- Assisting with method verification, method transfer, or AMV activities where required.

- Maintaining laboratory equipment, logs, calibration records, and cleaning records.

- Supporting environmental, microbiological, or external laboratory testing coordination where applicable.

- Preparing samples for internal and external testing.

- Supporting raw material release and finished product release timelines.

- Maintaining laboratory cleanliness, safety, and compliance.

- Working closely with QA, Production, and Warehouse teams.

- Supporting audits, customer requests, and continuous improvement activities.

About You

We are looking for someone with practical QC laboratory experience and a good understanding of working in a controlled or regulated environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous QC laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, therapeutic goods, complementary medicines, healthcare, cosmetic, chemical, or regulated manufacturing.

- Experience with GMP, GLP, or other regulated laboratory systems.

- Good understanding of laboratory documentation and data integrity requirements.

- Experience testing raw materials, finished products, or stability samples.

- Ability to follow approved test methods, SOPs, and specifications.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Practical problem-solving ability.

- A quality-focused and safety-conscious approach.

Experience with any of the following would be highly regarded:

- Titrations

- pH testing





- Specific gravity / density testing

- Viscosity testing

- HPLC

- GC

- UV-Vis

- FTIR

- Wet chemistry

- Assay testing

- Method verification or AMV

- Stability testing

- Raw material identification

- Microbiology coordination or external lab coordination

You will need to be:

- Experienced in laboratory testing.

- Comfortable working in a regulated environment.

- Accurate with documentation and calculations.

- Confident following SOPs and approved methods.

- Able to identify and escalate quality issues.

- Organized and able to manage competing priorities.

- Practical, reliable, and team focused.

- Able to support a busy manufacturing site.

This role is not suited to someone looking for their first laboratory position. We are specifically seeking a candidate with previous QC laboratory or regulated testing experience.
