About Us
As we recently expanded to merge with another accounting practice, we are seeking a sharp, dedicated, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our main administrator.
This isn't just your average admin role. For the right candidate who proves themselves over the first year, there is a transparent and supported pathway to transition into a Bookkeeper or Tax Accountant role within our firm.
Your Roles
- Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns
- Answering client calls and managing general inquiries professionally
- Scheduling appointments and assisting with client correspondence
- Onboarding and setting up new clients in our systems
- Liaising with the ATO (Australian Taxation Office) and other agencies
- General office administration, data entry, and document management
As you develop your knowledge and experience, you may have the opportunity to assist with bookkeeping and tax preparation work.
Skills & Experience
- Is friendly, professional and enjoys helping clients
- Is royal, reliable and efficient
- Has excellent organisational and time management skills
- Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Has good written and verbal communication skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and learning new software
- Previous administration experience in an accounting practice is desirable
- A Cert III/IV in bookkeeping or an accounting degree is ideal but not essential
