Job Description
The Project:
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project.
The Role
The Contract Administrator will support the preparation and negotiation process with subcontractors, including coordinating quotations and awarding contracts. The role will also provide contract administration services to help the project team effectively manage and control contract costs.
We are seeking two Contract Administrators to join the T2D Alliance. Opportunities exist within both our Mechanical & Electrical (M&E;) and Surface Works teams. Candidates with experience in either discipline are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Review,
certify and process subcontractor progress claims and paymentsManage variations, including assessing, negotiating and formalising changesCoordinate notices, claims and dispute resolution activitiesAssist with preparing accurate monthly accrualsMaintain registers for notices, variations and claimsEnsure compliance with subcontract requirements and T2D governance
About You
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Commercial, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalentExperience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industryUnderstanding of relevant legislation, procurement governance, and contractual compliance.Knowledge and demonstrated experience in budgeting, and cost control.Strong ability to interpret standard form subcontracts and identify non‑complianceSkills in assessing variations and EOT claims using site records and specificationsFamiliarity with construction project systems (e.g., Aconex, JDE, SAP, PPW, PCR) is advantageous.Transparent and confident communicator, able to translate contract requirements for project teamsStrong negotiation skills with the ability to maintain positive subcontractor relationshipHigh attention to detail with strong problem‑solving and time‑management skillsFor M&E; scope : previous experience with Electrical packagesCommitment to the Project’s health and safety framework, leading by example so that safety underpins everything we do.
