About the opportunity

Altrad is growing, and so is our HSE team. We have multiple opportunities available across varying levels of seniority, spanning construction, oil and gas, maintenance projects, and shutdown work — all operating on a roster basis ex Perth as well as opportunities locally.

Whether you're an emerging HSE professional looking to build your career or an experienced advisor ready to step into a senior role, we want to hear from you. These positions are embedded across some of Australia's most significant industrial projects, where your contribution to safety culture will be visible, valued, and impactful.

This is your chance to join a global organisation that genuinely invests in its people — one that empowers you to make decisions that matter, work alongside high-calibre teams, and contribute to projects that shape industries and support communities for the long term.

Across these roles, you will:

- Prepare and manage HSE documentation to ensure compliance with Australian standards, client specifications, and project plans

- Review, control, and issue construction permits, or actively participate in the permit to work process

- Oversee JSA and SWMS documentation — developing, reviewing, and maintaining project-wide controls

- Lead or contribute to pre-start meetings and toolbox talks, developing content that resonates with the workforce

- Conduct site inspections and audits, managing schedules and driving corrective actions through to close-out

- Identify and communicate risk and opportunity to line managers, supporting timely and effective treatment

- Ensure all project activities are designed, planned, and executed in accordance with relevant systems, processes, and State and Federal legislation

- Drive participation and ownership of continuous improvement across safety processes and behaviours

- Coach project teams and workforce in understanding and embedding Our Safety Culture — leading by example at every level

Whether you're delivering in office or contributing at a program level, these roles offer real scope to grow your expertise, expand your industry exposure, and build a career within an organisation that takes your success seriously.

About You

You're a proactive, results-driven HSE professional who thrives in dynamic, high-performance environments. Across our available roles, candidates will typically bring:

- Qualifications in OH&S;, HSEQ, Risk Management or a related discipline — minimum Cert IV OHS, with a Diploma or Degree preferred at senior levels

- Sound working knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards, and best-practice frameworks relevant to contracting environments

- Experience ranging from 2+ years (advisor level) to 5+ years (senior level) working within construction, oil and gas, shutdown, or maintenance project environments

- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and improve HSE management systems

- Experience in incident investigation, from initial response through to root cause analysis and close-out

- Confidence in developing and delivering training and toolbox content to diverse workforce groups

- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills — with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of a project
