About the opportunity
Altrad is seeking an experienced HSEQ Governance & Assurance Lead to join our corporate HSEQ team based in our Subiaco office.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving governance, assurance and sustainability across our Australian operations. You'll take ownership of our integrated management system, oversee corporate assurance programs, maintain ISO certification compliance, and provide the reporting and insights that support executive decision-making and continual improvement.
Working closely with senior leaders across the business and Altrad Group, you'll also lead our Manila-based HSEQ support team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality governance and administrative support while driving consistency, compliance and process excellence.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in HSEQ management systems, governance and auditing who enjoys improving processes, working with data and influencing business performance through robust governance frameworks rather than operational site safety.
Reporting to the Head of HSEQ, you will:
Lead the ongoing development and continual improvement of Altrad's integrated HSEQ Management System (AMS).Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements.Develop and manage the annual HSEQ Assurance Program, including internal, external and certification audits.Maintain corporate governance frameworks, legal compliance registers and management system documentation.Monitor audit findings and corrective actions, driving continual improvement across the business.Coordinate HSEQ content for client pre-qualifications,



tenders and external compliance requirements.Lead sustainability reporting, ESG data collection and corporate performance reporting.Develop Power BI dashboards and executive reporting to provide meaningful business insights.Partner with senior stakeholders across Australia and the Altrad Group to strengthen governance and compliance.Lead, coach and develop the Manila-based HSEQ support team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.

About you
You are a highly organised governance professional who thrives on structure, compliance and continuous improvement. You have a robust understanding of ISO-certified management systems and enjoy translating legislation, standards and business requirements into practical governance processes.
You have excellent attention to detail, are comfortable analysing data and preparing executive-level reporting, and are confident engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.While you understand operational HSEQ principles, your passion lies in governance, assurance, management systems and business improvement rather than frontline operational safety.
To be successful, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience in HSEQ governance, assurance, compliance or management systems.Experience maintaining ISO-certified management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).Experience participating in or leading internal and external ISO audits (Lead Auditor qualification highly regarded).Strong understanding of legislative compliance and management system governance.Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Power BI, SharePoint, Excel and Microsoft 365.Experience developing dashboards, analysing performance data and preparing executive reporting.Previous experience leading remote or shared services teams, ideally within a multicultural environment.Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills.A tertiary qualification in HSEQ, Risk Management,



Sustainability or a related discipline.Experience within industrial services, construction, mining, oil and gas or heavy industry will be highly regarded.
