About the Team
Working collaboratively with faculties and other central units, UTS International plays a pivotal role in advancing international strategies and initiatives across the university. The division provides central guidance and draws on deep international expertise, including insights into global and regional landscapes, local engagement practices, and the cultural contexts that shape international partnerships, ensuring cohesive and impactful outcomes aligned with UTS's strategic priorities.
UTS International leads international student recruitment and admissions efforts, including diversification, across key source markets. It coordinates Offshore Programs, including TNE partnerships and articulation agreements. It also supports a range of initiatives that enable students to gain international and intercultural experience, whether through exchange, study abroad or global short courses.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Offshore Programs (currently known internally as Pathway Development Coordinator) supports the development and implementation of offshore education initiatives, including transnational education (TNE) and international pathway programs. Collaborating closely with the Manager Offshore Growth, the role plays a key part in coordinating the operational and administrative processes required to establish offshore programs.
The position is responsible for ensuring effective coordination of program development activities, supporting approval and change processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and offshore partners. It contributes to the smooth delivery of offshore program development by assisting with compliance, quality assurance, and operational readiness requirements.
Please note that some international travel is essential for this position to support offshore program and partner engagement activities.
The successful candidate must be willing to travel internationally as required.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying emerging trends and opportunities in the international market relating to offshore programs, including models, recruitment potential, risks, and competitor analysis.
- Preparing and coordinating regular reporting on offshore program status, performance and outcomes, including feasibility reports and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Supporting program approval and change processes through relevant university governance channels, ensuring documentation and agreements are progressed within required timelines.
- Liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders across inter-cultural settings while fostering strong relationships.
- Coordinating visits to UTS by potential and existing pathway partners and designing training programs for offshore partners.
- Ensuring all administrative processes and student records are managed in strict compliance with UTS policies and relevant regulatory frameworks, including the ESOS Act.

1. Proven track record of collaborative teamwork, nurturing positive relationships and understanding with stakeholders of all levels across inter-cultural settings and contributing constructively towards shared goals.
2. Strong working knowledge of international education activities, legislative, governance and quality assurance regulations, particularly the impact on international student movement and recruitment.
3. Experience in developing and managing transnational education or pathway programs from emerging and established international markets for one or more Higher Education Providers.
4. Ability to identify challenges or obstacles and develop effective solutions to overcome them,
ensuring smooth program implementation and success.
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $109,014 - $120,596 pa (HEW 7)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
