We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our O’Connor workshop.

About the role:
- Diagnostics, fault finding and repair of heavy-duty diesel engines, drivetrains and associated systems
- Servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs across prime movers and trailers
- Electrical fault-finding including lighting, ABS/EBS and auxiliary systems
- Repairs and maintenance across OEM fleet including Mercedes, Kenworth, Fuso and UD
- Preventative maintenance in line with NHVR and manufacturer requirements
- Running repairs to maintain fleet availability and operational performance
- Accurate completion of job cards and maintenance records
What you bring:
- Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic trade qualification (essential)
- Strong diagnostic capability across mechanical and electrical systems
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicle fleets in a workshop or fleet setting
- Ability to carry out repairs efficiently with a focus on minimising downtime
- Experience with fleet maintenance programs and defect rectification
- Sound understanding of heavy vehicle safety and compliance requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards
Desirable:
- HR or HC licence
- Forklift licence
- Experience across multiple OEM platforms
