Pathway 1 – Underground Operations to HST

Ready to take the next step in your career?

If you've built solid underground operational experience and you're looking for a long-term career beyond production, we'll help you make the transition.

We'll support you to gain the qualifications, mentoring and practical experience needed to become a well-rounded Underground Health, Safety & Training professional, including:

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety

- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)

- Drug & Alcohol Screening qualifications

- Other industry-specific training required for the role

Your operational knowledge is your biggest asset.

We'll help you build everything else.

Pathway 2 – Health, Safety & Training to Underground

Want to become an underground specialist?

If you're an experienced Health, Safety or Training professional who's always wanted to move into underground mining, we'll help you gain the operational exposure that many employers expect, but rarely provide.

You'll spend time working alongside underground crews, learning how the operation works firsthand while being mentored by experienced underground Health, Safety & Training professionals.

Because the best safety advisers understand the work they're supporting.

Learn from the best

This isn't a classroom-based program.

You'll complete a structured development program of up to two years,



tailored to the experience and qualifications you already bring.

Depending on your background, you'll receive:

- Practical underground operational exposure

- On the job mentoring

- Formal external qualifications (if required)

- Real on-site coaching

- Progressive responsibility as your capability grows

No two development plans will look exactly the same, because no two careers do.

Who we're looking for

You'll have one of the following:

- At least 18 months' hardrock underground operational experience

- Previous Health, Safety & Training experience with in a high risk industry and a genuine desire to work in underground mining

Plus:

- Australian working rights

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
