About Sunrise Hardware and Garden Products

Sunrise Hardware and Garden Products is a well-established import/wholesale business, proudly operating since 1983. As a major distributor of hardware, building supplies and garden products, we are seeking a reliable and hard-working Freight Coordinator and Warehouse Assistant to join our team on a casual basis (approximately 5 days per week, with overtime in our busy seasons).

Key Duties

· Obtain, compare, and evaluate freight quotes from transport providers

· Organise and book freight for customer orders and stock movements

· Weighing, measuring and consigning packages accurately

· Ensure freight bookings and shipping documentation are accurate and completed on time

· Track and follow up freight consignments when required

· Assist with packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch

· Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently

· Assist with general warehouse duties, stock handling, and housekeeping

· Work closely with warehouse and administration staff to ensure smooth operations

· A high level of accuracy is essential, as the role involves comparing freight costs, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating dispatches where errors can result in delays and additional costs.

· Maintain valuable relationship with customers and suppliers.

This is a computer based and hands-on role. Your day will start typically between 7:00am -8:00am at our office/warehouse in Direk, SA, with booking collections and deliveries for our customers. Once completed, you will be able to assist the warehouse with any order picking, packing,



and keeping the warehouse tidy.

About you

· Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, freight coordination, or transport administration is strongly preferred, or a willingness to learn and develop current skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy when booking freight and processing paperwork

· Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online freight booking systems

· Experience with freight providers

· Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail

· Forklift license is highly regarded, but not essential

· Dependable, punctual, and confident working independently

· Comfortable with early morning starts and physically fit and capable of safely lifting and handling products

· A permanent resident with full working rights in Australia

This is a casual position, with hours varying according to operational requirements. Additional hours may be available during peak periods.For the right candidate, this role may progress into a permanent part-time position.
