About the Role

Common Equity Housing SA (CEHSA) is seeking an experienced and strategically-minded Technical Director to join our voluntary Board of Directors.

As a Board Director, you will bring specialist technical expertise, sound judgement and a commitment to good governance to support the long-term sustainability and growth of our organisation. Working alongside fellow Directors, the CEO and key stakeholders, you will contribute to strategic decision-making that strengthens housing outcomes for our members and communities.

What You'll Contribute

As Technical Director, you will:

- Provide strategic technical advice and insight to support informed Board decision-making.

- Contribute to the oversight of organisational performance, risk management, compliance and long-term sustainability.

- Review financial, operational and strategic information to guide good governance and organisational stewardship.

- Support the Board's consideration of growth opportunities, innovation and emerging risks.

- Contribute actively to Board and Committee discussions, bringing an independent and constructive perspective.

- Help ensure CEHSA continues to meet its regulatory, governance and community obligations.

- Work collaboratively with fellow Directors and the CEO to advance CEHSA's strategic goals and mission.

About You

We're looking for a leader who brings:





- Significant experience in a technical, professional or senior leadership role.

- Strong understanding of governance, risk management and organisational oversight.

- Strategic thinking and an ability to analyse complex issues and contribute to sound decision-making.

- A commitment to ethical leadership, accountability and continuous improvement.

- An interest in community housing, social impact or the not-for-profit sector.

- Alignment with CEHSA's values of equity, participation, collaboration and community.

Previous board experience is desirable but not essential.
