About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fruit & Veg Manager to join the Tucker Fresh IGA team on a full-time basis.

As the Fruit & Veg Manager, you will lead the daily operations of one of the store's most important departments, ensuring exceptional presentation, freshness, stock availability and customer service. You will be responsible for driving sales and profitability through effective merchandising, inventory management, team leadership and operational excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supermarket leader who is passionate about fresh food and enjoys developing high-performing teams while delivering an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Setting the standard where “every local is loved”.

- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

- Ensuring that staff deliver high quality service to all customers.

- Understanding and respond to customer requests and needs.

- Informing customers about specials, promotions and new items.

- Working safely in accordance with legislation and all supermarket safety
policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience:

- Recent relevant supermarket retail experience.

- Experience in managing a fruit & veg department.

- Experience working within an independent supermarket,



particularly IGA, is highly preferred.

- A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement, is essential.

- A commitment to food safety, hygiene, shop cleanliness, and workplace safety practices.

- Exceptional customer service skills with a demonstrated record of strong achievement in meeting customer needs.

- Competency of ordering, cost control, wage control, rostering and gross profit budgeting.

- Enthusiastic and approachable personality.

- Able to work under pressure.

- Organised with the ability to meet deadlines.

- Able to work autonomously or in a team.

- Passionate for food, creative and willing to share ideas.

- Understanding of the need to maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
