RYA Pty Ltd is an established CPA public practice located in West Perth. We are a friendly, family-focused practice that values long-term relationships with our clients and staff.

We provide taxation, accounting, business advisory and self-managed superannuation fund services to a diverse client base, including privately owned businesses, property investors and family groups.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Intermediate Accountant with a minimum of one year’s experience in an Australian public accounting practice to join our team.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

- preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals;

- preparing business activity statements and GST reconciliations;

- assisting with tax planning and general taxation matters;

- communicating directly with clients, the ATO, auditors and other professional advisers; and

- working closely with managers and partners to meet client and lodgment deadlines.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

- a minimum of one year’s experience in an Australian public accounting practice;

- a degree in accounting, commerce or a related discipline;





- experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships;

- a basic understanding of Australian taxation, accounting and GST requirements;

- strong attention to detail and organisational skills;

- the ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines;

- robust written and verbal communication skills;

- the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; and

- Australian working rights.

Experience with SMSFs would be advantageous but is not essential.

Experience using HandiSoft would also be an advantage. Our practice also uses Xero and MYOB, so experience with either platform would be highly regarded.

The ability to speak Mandarin, Indonesian or another Asian language would also be viewed favourably but is not essential.
