About the role

Ape Suspension is seeking a skilled and experienced Suspension Fitter to join our team in Landsdale, WA. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work with a leading automotive trades company specialising in suspension systems. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing suspension components on a variety of vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will be fundamental to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers and maintaining Ape Suspension's reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

- Installing and fitting suspension components including springs, dampers, bushings, anti-roll bars and related hardware to vehicle specifications

- Performing diagnostic assessments on suspension systems to identify faults, wear and maintenance requirements

- Carrying out repairs and replacements of damaged or worn suspension parts with precision and attention to detail

- Conducting wheel alignment and balance checks following suspension work to ensure vehicle safety and performance

- Inspecting vehicles before and after work to document condition and ensure quality standards are met

- Maintaining accurate work records and documentation of all jobs completed

- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and workshop procedures at all times

- Liaising with customers to explain suspension issues, recommended repairs and associated costs

- Keeping the workshop organised and maintaining tools and equipment in positive working order

- Staying up to date with industry developments and new suspension technologies relevant to the role

What we're looking for





- A recognised qualification in automotive suspension fitting or equivalent hands-on experience in suspension work

- Proven experience as a Suspension Fitter or similar automotive trades role, preferably within an established workshop environment

- Strong technical knowledge of suspension systems, components and their operation across various vehicle types

- Proficiency in using standard suspension fitting tools and diagnostic equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals and vehicle specifications

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in completing work to exacting standards

- Sound understanding of health and safety practices relevant to automotive workshops

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in clear language

- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work

- A full current driving licence

- Experience with wheel alignment technology or additional automotive qualifications would be advantageous
