Team Leader - Supported Independent Living (Disability)

The Role
The Junction Works’ Supported Independent Living homes provide supported accommodation in a community setting to people with a disability. The service provides a range of supports that are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of our residents. Our aim is to enable our residents to live a quality life in their community, a life that is as independent as possible and that is meaningful to the person.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in leading a passionate team, driving quality service delivery and creating positive outcomes for people with disability.
Lead a team of approximately 8-15 Disability Support Workers supporting up to four participants within one Supported Independent Living home.
Working closely with the Manager, Supported Independent Living, you'll coach and support your team, foster a positive workplace culture and ensure our participants receive protected, person-centred supports that empower them to live independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high-quality supports are delivered.
- Monitor staff performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members.
- Ensure documentation and reporting meet organisational and NDIS standards.
- Manage incidents, risks and escalations in collaboration with the Manager.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and accountable team culture

- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing frontline teams.
- The confidence to have performance conversations and hold people accountable.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Experience managing incidents, risk and complex participant needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust across multidisciplinary teams.
- A genuine passion for developing people and creating positive workplace culture.

Please Note: These roles work on a 7 day roster that will include weekend, evening and overnight shifts.
Your application for this position will require you to have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- National Police Check (completed within the last 6 months)
