Fairbridge College is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker / Counsellor to join both our Pinjarra and our Kalgoorlie Campus teams. Your Role
As a Social Worker / Counsellor at Fairbridge College, you will be an integral part of our student support team, working closely with the wellbeing team to manage caseloads and provide comprehensive social and behavioural support services. Your focus will be on enhancing the well-being of our students through holistic solutions, advocacy, and coordination of services, ensuring each student receives the support they need to succeed in their educational journey. You will be required to work across both campuses, based in Pinjarra you will be required to spend at least one week out of every four at the Kalgoorlie campus.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop robust, respectful relationships with students, staff, and families.

- Collaborate with wellbeing team, school staff, and external service providers to support student assessment and recommend interventions

- Contribute to the identification of students requiring additional educational,



wellbeing and social support.

- Provide case management and direct support to students through individual consultations and group sessions.

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive assessments, case notes and professional reports to support school funding applications.

- Advocate for students’ needs and ensure they have access to necessary resources and support services.

- Assist in monitoring funded student programs and contribute to reporting on outcomes and the effectiveness of interventions.

- Assist in the development and implementation of intervention plans and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community.

- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in social work and inclusive education.
