Southern.IML Pathology has a vacancy for full time, part time and casual Pathology Collectors to work in the Illawarra Region. The area covered is from Engadine to Gerringong. We are looking for a pathology collector who is customer focused and committed to providing a high quality pathology collection service. Perform specimen collection and handling (venepuncture); home visits; documentation, patient care and liaising with doctors and patients in a qualified manner.
Position Requirements:
1. Certificate III in pathology collection.
2. Demonstrated customer service experience and skills with the ability to effectively communicate with
patients and carers.
3. Skills in problem solving and troubleshooting with the ability to deal with and resolve general issues relating to
specimen preparation and transport of specimens.
4. High attention to detail and data accuracy.
5. A current driver licence.
6. A current police and working with children check.
7. Permanent work rights with no restrictions.
A current first aid certificate is an advantage.
The current hours of operation are between 7.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday, with participation in a weekend roster as required.
