About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our team as a Coffee Roaster / Warehouse Assistant.
Previous coffee roasting experience is not required, as full training will be provided. What matters most is that you have a good work ethic, are physically fit, comfortable working around machinery and willing to learn. The role will involve learning to operate our commercial coffee roasting equipment, following established roast profiles and assisting with general warehouse duties. You will work as part of a supportive and down-to-earth team within a food manufacturing workplace.
The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, working day shifts across five days per week. There is an opportunity to move into permanent employment for the right person who demonstrates reliability, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee Roasting
- Learn to operate commercial coffee roasting equipment safely and confidently
- Follow established roast profiles and daily production schedules
- Monitor the roasting process to maintain consistent quality
- Complete basic production records and quality checks
- Monitor stock levels and advise when supplies are running low
- Complete routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Clean the roasting equipment and surrounding area
Warehouse Assistant
- Load and unload goods using safe manual-handling practices
- Receive and check incoming deliveries
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch
- Assist with stock control and stock takes
- Move pallets and materials around the warehouse
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised production and warehouse environment
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Is reliable, punctual and ready to work
- Is physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling
- Is practical, hands-on and comfortable working around machinery
- Can follow instructions and established processes
- Takes pride in completing work accurately
- Works well as part of a team
- Has basic computer skills
- Holds a forklift license or is willing to obtain one
Previous experience in warehousing, food manufacturing, machine operation or coffee production would be helpful, but is not essential.
