Job description
Wagga Women’s Health Centre Inc. (WWHC) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing an alternative, feminist healthcare service run by women for women, ensuring accessibility without financial and cultural barriers to the women of Wagga Wagga and surrounding districts.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Case Manager to join our team on a casual basis (up to 0.6 FTE / 3 days per week), with a potential opportunity to move to part-time capacity in the future. This role supports women with complex health and social needs through holistic, trauma-informed case management and care coordination.
About the role
You will work directly with women to assess needs, develop care plans, coordinate services, and advocate for access to health and community supports. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external partners to improve wellbeing and health outcomes for our clients.
This role will require a valid Working with Children Check, National Police Check and be up to date in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid (or a willingness to obtain these certificates).
Key responsibilities
- Provide client-centred case management and support
- Conduct holistic assessments and develop case plans
- Coordinate referrals and service access
- Advocate for women within health and community systems
- Maintain accurate case notes and records
About you
- Qualification in social work, community services or a related field
- Experience in case management, preferably in women’s health or related services
- Robust understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practice
- Excellent communication, organisation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience in women-only or feminist services
- Knowledge of local health and community service systems
