Civil Designer

- Permanent Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $98,633 - $111,619 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4 – 5 dependent on skills and experience) + Superannuation

Your new role

Our Infrastructure Planning Section is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Designer to join their busy team.

You will leverage your advanced skills and expertise to examine, prepare, and critically review detailed designs, drawings, and cost estimates for the Council's municipal infrastructure projects. Additionally, you will offer specialized advice and support to the public, organizations, and Council departments, ensuring all work complies with relevant technical and quality standards.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

- Degree qualification in Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or Associate Diploma in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience and familiarity with all aspects of this role including designing, drafting and estimating costs for inclusion in project documentation and extensive experience including site grading, earthworks, stormwater drainage, road and intersection design and in-ground services.
- High level knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to municipal infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to problem solve and build relationships with all stakeholders.
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- Ambition to ensure that all outcomes,



targets and regulatory responsibilities are met with optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
