Overview of the Role
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Human Resources Co-Ordinator to provide support to our Accounts & Admin Division
Your duties will involve but are not limited to:
Position Specific Duties:
Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding
· Coordinate end-to-end recruitment administration, including preparing job advertisements, meeting with Divisional Managers to determine recruitment requirements, coordinating shortlisting, scheduling and chairing interviews, and conducting reference checks.
· Prepare employment contracts, letters of offer, and onboarding documentation.
· Coordinate pre-employment compliance requirements.
· Liaise with new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
· Coordinate employee inductions in conjunction with relevant managers.
· Manage the offboarding process, including exit documentation, asset recovery, system access removal, and liaise with the Administration and Accounts teams.
· Prepare Exit Surveys and/or interviews where appropriate to identify opportunities for organisational improvement.
HR Administration & Systems
· Manage employee lifecycle administration, including commencements, contract variations, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
· Support payroll with employee changes, leave balances, and timesheet queries.
· Maintain accurate employee records, organisational charts, and position descriptions.
· Coordinate leave approvals with relevant managers and identify potential staffing conflicts requiring resolution.
· Maintain confidentiality of all employee records and HR documentation.
· Prepare HR reports and maintain HR metrics for management reporting.
Staff Training & Development
· Coordinate the organisation's staff training and development program.
· Maintain the company training matrix and ensure mandatory training remains current.
· Schedule internal and external training courses, inductions, refresher training, and licence renewals.
· Monitor employee qualifications, certifications, and competencies to ensure ongoing compliance.
· Liaise with training providers and managers regarding employee development requirements.
· Maintain accurate training records and produce compliance reports as required.
· Assist managers in identifying training needs and supporting employee career development initiatives.
Employee Relations Support
· Act as first point of contact for basic HR queries from employees and supervisors.
· Assist with performance management processes, including probation reviews, performance improvement plans, performance documentation, and career development discussions.
· Support disciplinary and grievance processes under direction of Senior Management and external advisors (including Employment solicitors where required).
· Promote Enviro’s values, policies, and Code of Conduct.
Workers’ Compensation & Return to Work
· Coordinate all Workers' Compensation claims from initial notification through to claim closure.
· Liaise with injured workers, medical practitioners, insurers, rehabilitation providers, and managers to facilitate effective claims management.
· Develop, implement, monitor, and regularly review Return to Work (RTW) Plans in accordance with legislative requirements.
· Maintain accurate Workers' Compensation and RTW documentation and records.
· Monitor claim progress, medical restrictions, and suitable duties to support timely and sustainable return to work outcomes.
· Assist managers in identifying suitable duties and workplace adjustments where required.
· Ensure compliance with relevant Workers' Compensation legislation and reporting obligations.
· Monitor Workers' Compensation trends and provide recommendations to minimise workplace injuries.
Compliance & Policies
· Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and employment documentation.
· Ensure compliance with Fair Work Act, Up-to-date Awards, Enterprise Agreements, National Employment Standards, and WHS obligations.
· Support internal and external audits, compliance reporting, and site compliance activities.
· Maintain employment-related records in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
Culture & Employee Engagement
· Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition and wellbeing programs.
· Assist with internal communications and company updates.
· Coordinate internal promotions opportunities where appropriate.
· Develop and implement initiatives that promote positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
· Assist with organising company events and employee recognition activities.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
· Prepare and present monthly Human Resources reports to the Board of Directors.
· Analyse HR metrics including recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, training, and Workers' Compensation trends.
· Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, and employee experience.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function.
Essential Criteria:
· National Police Clearance
· Minimum 5 yrs experience working in a similar Human Resources role.
· Intermediate to Advanced computer and technology-based skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable Criteria
· Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources, or equivalent qualification.
· Return to Work Coordinator training or experience.
· Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
· Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
