About the role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our community team in Earlwood servicing the Canterbury-Bankstown/St George and surrounding areas. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work independently in a community healthcare setting (home visits/NDIS/Paediatric/Geriatric) where you will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. As a Community Physiotherapist at SOS Physiotherapy, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to the surrounding community. You will work collaboratively with Service Providers and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised treatment plans that help our patients achieve their functional goals and return to their desired activities.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and interventions
- Deliver hands-on physiotherapy treatment, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modality-based interventions
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as required to ensure optimal outcomes
- Provide patients with education and guidance on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and home exercise programs
- Liaise effectively with service providers/case officers, medical professionals, allied health practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to a positive team workplace by supporting colleagues and participating in continuing professional development activities
- Uphold the highest standards of professional practice, ethics, and patient confidentiality
What we're looking for
- A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
- Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one
- Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn delivering physiotherapy services to elderly in the community settings as well as a range of patient populations and conditions
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to apply evidence-based practice to patient care
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in clinical documentation
- A commitment to ongoing career development and keeping current with contemporary physiotherapy practice
- Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
- Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing, manual handling, and delivering hands-on treatment
- Current Driver's License and registered/roadworthy vehicle
