About the role

Are you an experienced finance professional who thrives on accuracy, collaboration, and variety in your work? We’re looking for a Finance & Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering reliable financial and payroll services across the organisation.

Working closely with the Accountant and reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll contribute to the capture, analysis and reporting of accurate and timely financial information that supports informed decision-making across the business.

This role is diverse and hands-on, encompassing end-to-end payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, financial operations, and month-end activities. You will also assist with budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting, while providing high‑quality financial support to internal teams.

This position can be offered at 0.8 FTE or full time, providing flexibility to suit the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Finance Operations

- Process accounts payable and statutory payments

- Complete bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations

- Support month-end processes including journals, prepayments and accruals

Payroll

- Process the fortnightly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records





- Manage superannuation, PAYG and statutory obligations

- Liaise with banking partners regarding payroll transactions

Reporting & Compliance

- Assist with BAS, FBT and industry regulatory reporting

- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis as required

Systems & Projects

- Contribute to finance systems improvements, including payroll and accounting systems

- Provide back-up support to the Accountant when needed

About you

You’ll bring solid experience in finance or accounting roles, with strong capability across payroll and accounts payable. You will also have:

- Payroll processing experience with relevant legislation knowledge

- Experience with reconciliations, journals and month-end tasks

- Familiarity with Technology One and Micropay (or similar systems)

- Solid analytical skills and attention to detail

- A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills

- High levels of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
