You will continue to grow and develop your skills and experience that will lead you into a skilled tradesperson.This role is a four‑year fixed‑term contract, commencing on a 4‑day roster before transitioning to a shift roster, DIDO to our Boddington Bauxite Mine.



Apprenticeship: Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanical Location: Bauxite Mine, Boddington Qualification Outcome: Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology Commencement: December 2026 - January 2027 Accountabilities Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and procedures Represent South 32 and yourself in a professional manner both internally and externally, including involvement with TAFE and secondments Progress your apprenticeship by demonstrating commitment to on-the-job learning and TAFE off-the-job requirements Attend all scheduled mandatory TAFE training ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: Live within a one-hour commute of site Completion of Year 11 (minimum) Completion of Year 12 (highly desirable) Participation in, or completion of, a relevant pre-apprenticeship (highly desirable) A valuable academic and attendance record Demonstrated desire and/or experience in the chosen field Application RequirementsYour application must contain the following: A cover letter or statement clearly demonstrating your desire and/or experience in the selected trade(s), and stating which trade(s) and site(s) you are applying for A resume outlining education, work experience, certificates and community/sporting involvement Applications that do not include both items listed above will not be considered.South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
