About the RoleApplus+ is seeking experienced and safety-focused Marine Inspectors to join our casual talent pool, supporting short-term inspection scopes across marine and offshore assets.
In this role, you will conduct inspections in accordance with client and industry standards, assess structural integrity, and deliver accurate, high-quality reports. Using your knowledge of ship structures, load paths and failure mechanisms, you will identify integrity concerns and utilise a range of inspection and NDT techniques to support the safe and reliable operation of vessels, offshore installations and floating production facilities.

Duties include:Conduct inspection activities in accordance with client, Class, and Applus standards, procedures, and guidelines.Accurately collect, verify, and report inspection and NDT data, including photographic evidence, using approved reporting templates.Identify, investigate, and escalate anomalous inspection results, ensuring supervisors are notified promptly.Comply with all client Health, Safety and Workplace (HSE) requirements and report incidents immediately.Contribute to HSE reviews, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.Support and actively participate in client safety programs and site safety activities.Maintain a high standard of professionalism, safety, and quality while working across client facilities and inspection environments.
Required skills and Qualifications:Essential:Marine inspection experience,



Experience working with marine structures and offshore assets.ISO UT Thickness and one other methodBOSIETMSICIRATA Rope AccessListed on Lloyds Register as operator or supervisor
Desirable:Other ISO NDT certification eg Eddy Current/Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inspection reporting systems.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience completing Technical Test Records (TTRs) and supplementary inspection reports.An understanding of Class reporting software, including Pegasus, Argonaut and TM Sheets (high advantageous)The ability to identify and promptly report integrity-related issues to stakeholders.The ability to follow site-specific reporting lines and operational directives.
Other requirements:Detailed knowledge and experience in the use of applicable inspection standards and statutory regulations, including demonstrated competency in relevant methodsYou will also be expected to continuously develop and maintain your NDT competencies in line with Applus+ requirements and demonstrate compliance through relevant Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments, including Marine Inspection, Rope Access and NDT certifications where applicable.
