Rate Guide: $1,100–$1,350 per day Location: Canberra, ACT Contract Duration: 12 months Extension Options: 2 x 12-month extensions Estimated Start Date: 1 September 2026 Working Arrangements: Primarily onsite. Flexible arrangements may be considered by the assigned work area, subject to operational requirements. Due to the nature of the workplace, working from home may not be available. About the RoleAn opportunity exists for two experienced Product Owners to join a high-performing delivery environment supporting nationally significant capabilities.Working within multidisciplinary Agile teams, you will drive the vision, roadmap and delivery of digital products and services that deliver measurable outcomes for end users. You'll collaborate closely with user researchers, delivery managers, architects, developers and business stakeholders to ensure products are prioritised, delivered and continuously improved based on user needs.This role requires an experienced leader who can balance competing priorities, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver quality outcomes within a secure and complex operating environment.
Please note: Candidates must hold a current TSPV security clearance, be eligible to complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA), and Babylon Data must hold Defence Industry Security Program (DISP)



membership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead product ownership across one or more complex digital products or services.Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives.Own and prioritise the product backlog to maximise business and user value.Work closely with User Researchers to understand user needs and translate them into product features.Facilitate Agile ceremonies and support iterative product delivery.Engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations and resolve competing priorities.Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve delivery outcomes.Develop and monitor project plans, risks, dependencies and delivery schedules.Produce project status reports and executive updates.Drive continuous improvement through user feedback, analytics and product performance measurement.Support organisational change management activities and product adoption.
Essential Skills & ExperienceDemonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager delivering complex digital products.Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and product lifecycle management.Experience creating and managing product roadmaps and prioritised backlogs.Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills.Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within complex environments.Experience translating user research into actionable product outcomes.Strong risk management, planning and reporting capability.Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments.Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance.
Highly DesirableCertification in Agile, Scrum, Secure or PRINCE2.Experience working within large Commonwealth Government ICT environments.Experience delivering human-centred digital services.Familiarity with SFIA-aligned delivery practices.Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programs.
