About the role

We are seeking a Dermal/Beauty Therapist Shared Receptionist to join our team at our Battery Point location in Hobart. This is a 12 month contract position that offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise with customer-facing administrative support and opportunity to continue into a permanent position after contract ends. You will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive both exceptional treatment and seamless service from the moment they arrive. This position involves balancing dermal and beauty therapy treatments with receptionist duties, making you an essential part of our front-of-house and treatment delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

Treatment Delivery

- Provide professional dermal and beauty therapy treatments including advanced laser treatments for pigmentation, vascular lesion removal, tattoo removal, resurfasing laser rejuvenation, facials, skin analysis, chemical peels, laser hair removal, electrolysis hair removal and other aesthetic procedures as per client requirements

- Maintain accurate treatment records and document client progress and outcomes

- Deliver personalised aftercare advice and recommendations to clients

- Ensure all treatment areas are maintained to the highest hygiene and safety standards

Reception and Administrative Support

- Manage client check-ins, appointment scheduling and booking confirmations





- Provide warm, professional and knowledgeable reception support to clients upon arrival

- Answer telephone enquiries and respond to client communications promptly and professionally

- Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality of personal information

- Process payments and manage basic administrative tasks as required

- Order and maintain stock levels in the clinic

- Ensure the clinic runs on time and assist other practitioners with treatment/cleaning and organisation

- Create and post marketing material for emails and social media platforms

General Responsibilities

- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the standards of The Aesthetic Laser Centre

- Support the team in creating a welcoming and professional clinic environment

- Adhere to all health, safety and professional regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

Qualifications and Experience

- Current recognised qualification in Dermal Therapy or Beauty Therapy from an accredited provider

- Proven experience working as a beauty or dermal therapist in a professional clinic setting

- Ideally hold a current radiation laser license for Tasmania but this is not essential for the right candidate

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (Ideal but not required)

- Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or willingness to obtain it

Essential Skills

- Solid clinical knowledge of skin types,



conditions and appropriate treatment protocols

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients

- Professional presentation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

- Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple responsibilities across treatment and reception duties

- Proficiency with appointment booking systems and basic computer skills

- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities

Desirable Qualities

- Experience working in an aesthetic or laser clinic environment

- Knowledge of laser safety and aesthetic treatments

- Experience using clinic management software

- Existing client base or proven ability to build client relationships
