The Role

We are looking for a BDM for our Keilor East office to expand our relationship with our existing Victorian and South Australian clients and start current opportunities.

Australian Scaffolds & Access Pty Ltd was founded in 1997 by CEO Scott Butlin in Sydney and is a full-service national provider of working at heights products and services across all industries.

We provide an impressive range of products for sale and hire. We designed and manufactured our own range of scaffolding and edge protection products, as well as selling Quick Stage.

The company is dedicated to growth and is home to a team of exceptional individuals working across three offices. Late in 2024 we opened the Victoria office in Keilor East to provide a local presence and fully stocked warehouse for faster shipping.

How?

Most importantly, by having a very thorough understanding of the client's needs and how time-sensitive construction sites are. We are continuously fine-tuning our internal systems to ensure our quotes meet the client’s requirements fully and that the order is shipped in full within 24 hours.

We are the first supplier to develop a live product calculator on our website so that clients can create a fully priced quote outside of construction time. We review the client-generated quotes with them within 2 business hours of the start of the next business day to ensure they have ordered all the required parts before starting the shipping process.

We are not only focused on them receiving the products but on installing them efficiently and safely. We offer installation crews for some of our products,



training videos for some and for all we are always available to provide instructions and advice on set-up.

We are regularly adding features to our website and designing new marketing campaigns across all social media platforms.

Full training and support

We provide extensive training on our product range, internal systems and procedures as well as sales training if you are new to selling. We will bring you up to Sydney for parts of this training and to see the bigger team in action.

Our success has been built on our people, and we never take this for granted, so after the initial training to get you functional, we will send you to external courses for both selling and personal development to support your ongoing success. We also regularly fund staff seeking to broaden their business skills beyond sales.

We have all the raw ingredients, great products, and varied marketing campaigns that consistently generate leads and an existing client base. Now we need you.

Experienced in sales or working at heights

This position is a perfect fit if you are an experienced BDM in the construction market looking for greater freedom, better systems, and a direct impact on growing a local team.

Alternatively, we are happy to consider tradies or site managers experienced in the roofing or scaffolding industry looking to get off the tools and start a sales career.

You live in easy reach of Keilor East. We’re still working on the mythical work/life balance, but we are definitely beyond battling the traffic each day. We support your flexibility to merge errands and handle surprises during the workday without taking a day off or leaving your family stranded.

Drivers licence

Much of our work is over the phone, but we schedule site visits to local clients regularly.
