Join a leading building materials manufacturer at our busy distribution hub in Carole Park. Fuse recruitment are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to manage heavy vehicle flow, driver inductions, and critical transport documentation. This desk-based role is the central communication link between transport drivers and the warehouse loading floor.
This role is for a minimum of two months with possibility of extension!

The Client:
A National brand specialising in the cement and timber building industries, located in Carole Park.
The Role:
In this role you will work as a Logistics Clerk and assist in verifying incoming and outgoing delivery truck loads and restraints,
Your main responsibilities will be confirming incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring weight restraints are being adhered to and recording data via SAP and excel on an IPAD.
Full training will be provided and you will need to pass a drug and alcohol medical to be successful in obtain tin this role.
Your main duties will also include:
- Driver Check-In: Greet truck drivers, conduct site safety inductions, and assign loading bays.
- Documentation Control: Process delivery dockets, manifests, and Bills of Lading (BOL).
- Compliance: Perform Chain of Responsibility (CoR) documentation checks for outbound loads.
- Traffic Management: Coordinate yard flow to prevent congestion and reduce dock delays.
- Vehicle Inspection: Check incoming and outgoing trucks, verifying vehicle identity, condition, and documentation (manifests and delivery tickets).
- Load Verification: Verify all products, such as fiber cement cladding,
are loaded in full and accurately against dispatch manifests to ensure DIFOT (Delivered In Full On Time) targets.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor yard safety, ensuring Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and site safety protocols are strictly followed by all visiting drivers.
- Documentation & Data: Accurately log truck arrival/departure times, cargo quantities, and update stock systems (utilizing an iPad with Excel and SAP).
- Yard Management: Support the fast and efficient flow of trucks, reducing dock congestion and managing flow before loading processes.
This is a loud, dusty and at times dirty environment to work in.
The Candidates:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have experience:
- Previous experience working in despatch and or receiving in a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or gatehouse administration role is advantageous.
- Strong data entry skills with exposure to warehouse management systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience as a Despatch officer or logistics officer from previous roles is advantageous
- Robust attention to detail and ability to perform basic math to verify quantities.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (such as SAP) and transport documentation
- Basic computer data entry experience
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent WHS knowledge
- An ability to commit to this role for a minimum of two months
