Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyperson to join our maintenance team in Ibis Sydney Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and functional. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, productive, and able to handle diverse maintenance challenges.

Key responsibilities include:
Completing daily checks and minor repairs across guest rooms and public areas
(e.g. leaking taps, door hardware, light fittings, silicone touch-ups, basic plumbing fixes)
Patch and paint work, including repairing wall damage, scuffs, and general cosmetic wear
Maintaining guest facilities and hotel equipment
Supporting scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
Inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining air-conditioning filters
Clearing walkways and ensuring external areas are secure and presentable
Liaising with management to ensure out-of-order rooms or areas are returned to service as quickly as possible
Identifying maintenance issues early and reporting larger repairs where required
