We have various ongoing positions available, you will need to have a Fabrication Qualification and relevant experience to be successful in this position.
Duties:
Weld components using GMAW, SMAW TCAW and FCAW up to 4g position
Maintain a protected organised workshop and work area.
Conduct visual inspections of welds to identify cracks, porosity, undercut, or any other defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
Cut materials and prepare for assembly and layout procedures
Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques
Skills and Experience Required:
Interpreting and working from engineering drawings including measurements and welding symbols
Accurately measure and mark out materials
Utilise fabrication preparation such as grinding, bevelling and cleaning
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to a high standard.
Weld materials such as carbon steel and stainless steel of varying thickness
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components to a high standard.
Maintain records to a high standard.
Identify and report all non-conforming materials, components, and tools
Identify and control associated hazards or risks, following company procedures and WHS requirements.
Effective communication with managers, supervisors, and team members
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
These positions will be an ongoing, with exciting opportunities for growth for the right people. Salary will be $42.50 hourly depending on experience.
