Looking for a diverse hands-on role? We’re seeking a reliable, positive team member to assist with general maintenance and occasional overnight Caretaker duties. No formal qualifications needed — full training and supportive leadership provided. We’re looking for the right attitude above all else.
In addition to day-to-day maintenance tasks, this role includes supporting Caretaker shifts and occasional overnight duties, such as bin runs, pool cleaning, and after-hours site checks.
Full training will be provided — we’re looking for the right attitude, not formal qualifications.
As we move into the peak summer period, availability across December and January will be important.
What you’ll be doing
Carrying out general maintenance tasks across apartments and common areas (basic repairs, touch-ups, small fixes, etc.).
Responding to maintenance requests from reception, housekeeping, and management.
Supporting refurbishment projects and scheduled improvement works.
Assisting with Caretaker coverage, which may include:
Overnight shifts
Emptying bins and maintaining bin areas
Cleaning and testing the pool and spa
Basic cleaning/reset tasks in common areas
Responding to after-hours issues in line with procedures
Ensuring the property remains secure, functional, and well presented.
Working independently while being an active member of the team.
What we’re looking for
Reliable and punctual — someone the team can count on.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Practical, hands-on mindset and willingness to learn.
Able to follow directions from management and work effectively with the team.
Comfortable using basic computer systems (logging jobs, emails, straightforward apps).
A valid driver’s licence.
Handyman, general maintenance or trade experience.
Availability to cover overnight Caretaker shifts when required (full training provided).
Nice to have (but not essential)
Experience working night shift, security, or similar roles.
Familiarity with basic OH&S; and safety procedures
Public Pool Maintenance / Management experience
Customer service experience.
