Wallis Drilling, operates and maintains a diverse manufacturing and machine shop which builds and carry out services for our contract drilling divisions.
The Role
Wallis Drilling is looking for a full time Trades Assistant to join our team. You will be working from our brand new, purpose-built facility in Hazelmere.
The Candidate
To be successful, you will need:
Robust commitment to safety
Physical fitness
Punctual and reliable
Attention to detail
Good communication skills
Ability to work unsupervised
A current valid driver's license
Forklift license (desirable)
Knowledge and experience working with steel will be highly regarded
The Job
Duties will include,
but not limited to the following:
• Unloading and loading materials with forklift
• Transporting parts and components between work areas and stores
• Cutting steel stock in preparation for machining or fabrication
• General workshop cleaning duties (sweeping floors, emptying bins, tidying work areas).
• Cleaning equipment and components in preparation for repairs
• Parts pickup and delivery
• Preparing manufactured parts for painting
• Assisting tradespeople
