About the role

SummitCare are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to work on a Casual or Part-time t basis.

This position will be located at our residential aged care facility in Randwick.

As the Leisure & Lifestyle Officer at SummitCare, you will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful leisure and lifestyle programs which enable the wellbeing of residents. You will work within a team to ensure that these programs promote optimal health, healthy ageing, and resident choice. You will have a solid customer service focus and tailor programs to meet individual resident needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Completed or near completion of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or Diploma in Health Science, Diversional Therapy,



Occupational Therapy or related discipline
Hold a Current National Police Check
Experience in a similar role preferably in the aged / health sector will be highly advantageous
Ability to be creative and creative & passionate about bringing meaning to resident’s day to day living
Ability to contribute to the assessment of each resident social, spiritual and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual leisure and lifestyle programs to meet their needs
Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
Well-developed computer skills
Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
