About the role Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a part-time position with a reputable accounting firm? Shadow Accounting & Taxation Services, based in Kempsey NSW 2440, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our growing team. We offer adaptable schedule and the opportunity to transition into a full time position as the business continues to grow. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of bookkeeping activities for a diverse range of clients.

What you'll be doing
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers
Process payroll, including calculating and remitting taxes and deductions
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports
Liaise with clients to ensure timely and accurate financial information
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as required

What we're looking for
At least 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role,



preferably within a small practice or accounting firm
Robust proficiency in accounting software, mainly Xero
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with Australian taxation and reporting requirements
