Front of House Supervisor – Busy Local Bakery (Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm) Henrys Bakery Cafe

We’re a rapid-paced, community-loved bakery looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our team. This is a casual role (in employment status and rate of pay) with the potential to move permanent.

The role requires a consistent commitment to rostered hours. The position typically works Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with flexibility to start earlier (from 6:00am with overtime rates) when required to support business needs.

Subject to operational requirements, performance, and ongoing business needs, there may be an opportunity for consideration of a permanent position in the future

The Role

As our FOH Supervisor, you’ll be the go-to person on shift—keeping service flowing, supporting the team, and making sure every customer has a excellent experience.

You’ll:
Lead and support the front-of-house team day-to-day
Step in to cover shifts when required, including earlier starts




Set the standard for customer service, communication, and presentation
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues confidently
Oversee food display, cleanliness, and overall shop presentation
Manage POS and cash handling
Support training and development of team members
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
Communicate with the Retail Bakery Manager on daily operations

What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a supervisory or senior FOH role (bakery/cafe/hospitality)
Robust leadership skills with a hands-on approach
Excellent customer service and communication
Ability to stay calm, organised, and efficient in a fast-paced setting
Confident with POS systems and cash handling
High standards when it comes to cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
Reliable, proactive, and team-focused
Flexibility to start earlier (from 6:00am) when required
